PTSA Meeting/ Nominating Committee/ Open Positions

We will be having a general PTSA meeting at Vista Heights @ 10:15 on Tuesday, November 8th.
At this meeting we will form a nominating committee for PTSA officers for next year.  We are also looking for a president elect to serve with us the rest of the year and take over as president next year.  Open positions for next year are: president, president-elect, leadership VP, secretary and treasurer.  We will also be looking to fill positions for membership, legislative and student coordinator.  PTSA is a great way to be involved in your middle schooler's education.
We need 5 members for the nominating committee (3 for the committee and 2 alternates).  Once we have this committee in place we will be able to move forward with filling positions for next year.

Welcome!

Welcome to Vista Heights PTSA page.  We're excited to use this tool to keep you informed about how you can help out at your student's school.    This 2011-2012 school year is going to be a great one with several ways for parents to be involved.  Our plans include running the book fair with proceeds going get more books in our budding library, helping teachers with the many needs that come up throughout the year, opening our students' worlds by adding on to Vista Heights' TEAL time activities, reminding our kids to make smart decisions during Red Ribbon Week - and many, many other things.  Please, join PTSA so that you can help us make these goals successful.

Membership is $6 for parents and $6 for students.  Each donation helps fund activities at the school as well as helping the largest child advocacy group in the country.

Fundraiser

Please support our PTSA and help your student stay organized with this great product from LockerWorks.  This organizer has 3 sturdy shelves and fits easily in students' lockers - while leaving plenty of room for jackets and bags.  $20- due September 2.  Order forms and drop off box are in the front office.
